Peer Support Specialist Fundraising

Are you troubled by the lack of support and resources available to people who are unhoused? So are we. You can do something about it.

You can help! We need to raise $23,000 for this project. You can make a tax deductible donation via PayPal or by check to NPAC, PO Box 1556, Springfield Oregon 97477. Please note your preference for the money to be used for the peer support specialist program.
Please join with Nightingale Public Advocacy Collective as we launch a certified peer support specialist training program aimed at providing skills and support to 45 volunteers, both housed and unhoused, who are working with our neighbors experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity. We hope to spread tools of empowerment throughout the houseless community so that individually, and collectively, the voices and ideas of those most affected are heard and resources are committed to address our community’s housing crisis.

We are partnering with Project ABLE to train volunteers from a variety of local organizations, each which rely on volunteers to fulfill their missions, including Occupy Medical, Community Alliance of Laner County, Square One Villages/Opportunity Village Eugene, Community Supported Shelters, Nightingale Health Sanctuary, Cornerstone Community Housing, and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.… Read the rest
